Among the many attractive qualities of modern roses is their tendency to stage an impressive second bloom in late August and well into September. The profusion of buds across the Formal Rose Garden at the Columbus Park of Roses indicates we’re in for a real show! This seven-acre garden features approximately 11,000 roses.
Strolling through the Formal Rose Garden is pleasant any time of day. If possible, plan your visit for early morning or early evening. In the diffuse light, the roses seem to glow. The soothing sounds of the garden’s restored 1957 fountain further set the mood for a memorable experience.
Once you’ve admired the Formal Rose Garden, enjoy the ever-changing plantings of the Perennial, Herb, Backyard and Heritage Gardens, as well as the garden’s accredited arboretum specimens.
